Heart’s Desire

There’s a mysterious transformation when translucent clay goes into the oven — you can’t tell how the beads will look once they’re baked. These were a happy surprise. They are swirled with blue and lavender, with a little silver leaf glinting through. A layer of resin adds depth and shine.

These luminous beads remind me of Tomales Bay on a beautiful sunny day. Heart’s Desire is a particularly lovely cove where I swam on the day I named this collection. There are quite a few earrings for you to choose among, and three one pretty bracelets.
