Sandpiper - Indigo

My initial Sandpiper Collection — inspired by Sandpiper tracks on Limantour Beach — featured translucent jade clay. They were so popular that I decided to add a new colorway, this time with translucent indigo clay.

To make the “sandy” side of these two-tone beads. I pressed coarse sandpaper into either tan or gray clay to roughen the surface. Then I made the bird tracks by hand with a needle dipped in alcohol ink. The indigo clay is translucent and speaks to me of both the ocean under gray skies, and beach glass.

The tan earrings have gold findings and the gray earrings feature silver. No matter which you choose and no matter where you wear them, these earrings will surely put you in a beach-walk frame of mind.
